Toronto is the most populated city in Canada with approximately 2,5 million inhabitants, and the 4th most populated city in North America. It is a clean, safe, cosmopolitan city with a wonderful network of parks, recreational and cultural facilities. Toronto is the home of three big professional sports teams (Toronto Maple Leafs – hockey, Toronto Blue Jays – baseball, and Toronto Raptors – basketball), and it is has the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world, behind New York and London. One of the world’s most ethnically diverse cities, it is a home to more than 80 ethnic communities from Africa, Asia and Europe; Toronto is also known as a safe and friendly city with a diverse ethnic culture. It has a diverse array of public spaces, from city squares to public parks overlooking ravines, where people are spending sunny summer days.
Toronto is considered to be an international centre for business and finance. Generally, Toronto is considered to be the financial capital of Canada. The Toronto Stock Exchange is the world’s seventh largest stock exchange by market capitalization. The five largest financial institutions of Canada, collectively known as the Big Five, have national offices in Toronto. Although much of the region’s manufacturing activities take place outside the city, Toronto continues to be a wholesale and distribution center for the industrial sector. Leading economic sectors in the city include finance, business services, telecommunications, aerospace, transportation, media, arts, publishing, software production, medical research, education, tourism, and engineering. Toronto is also known for its production of domestic and foreign movies and shows: it was ranked as the third largest production centre for film and television after Los Angeles and New York City, sharing the nickname “Hollywood North”.

Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, the location reflects the vibrant, diverse, and ever-changing atmosphere of Canada’s largest and most vibrant city. The location represents the ultimate location for summer school programs. The university is located close to some of Toronto’s attractions, such as the CN Tower, The Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, The Hockey Hall of Fame, world class theatres and restaurants, the Metro Zoo, various museums, all kind of art galleries, shops on Queen & King street, Eaton Center, Bay & Yonge Street, areas with pubs and clubs, as well as Toronto’s island.
