In its simplest form, a business plan is a guide and a roadmap for your business that outlines goals and details how you plan to achieve those goals. The idea behind putting together a business plan is to help you understand the type of business you would like to build and the action plan you will need to follow. The heart of business plan is a business model and a business strategy, which describes how the company differs from the others and where it expects to make and spend the money.

The Toronto Business Academy business plan competition is designed to give participants a real world experience to develop their business ideas. It serves as a comprehensive platform for feedback, networking and future business opportunities.  Competition will help participants and their teams to develop their ideas with guidance from top business leaders and judges. Judges will evaluate the teams as real world entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early stage investors.

All teams will participate in the preliminary round of pitches, where they will have a complete overall feedback session with the judges. On the last day, there will be a final round of pitches, where judges will rank the best 3 pitches and of course select a winner.
